Today was a sad day for South Africa as we woke up to the news that one of the countries greatest musicians, Lucky Dube was murdered in Johannesburg last night after what is thought to be a failed hijacking.

This just adds more to the ugly picture of the violence found in South Africa. The statistics of the number of murders in the country are shocking! Currently standing at 50 people per day.

One can only feel for Lucky’s son who saw his father being killed right in front of him. The crime in South Africa is just escalating at such a high rate and something has to be done about it. Our loved ones are being taken away from us on a daily basis and we seem not to be able to do anything about it. It is up to the government to try stamp out this crime and make South Africa a crime free country.
