Many have been wondering why Julius Malema has been quiet over the last couple of weeks. We had all gotten to hear Malema saying one thing or another, from saying he will “kill for Zuma” and criticism of the judicial process in connection with the now withdrawn corruption charges against Zuma. So why the change in Malema’s stance? Has the ANC Youth League President looked himself in the mirror and seen that he was being ‘offside’ in the past? Or has he had someone give him a quiet word in the ear and told him to ’shhhh’?

The later seems to be the most likely scenario as I seriously doubted that Malema would have backed down himself. Reports today suggest that ANC President, Jacob Zuma talked to Malema and told him to “get in line”. Now if these reports are accurate, why then did the ANC at the time Malema was ranting and raving, allow him to blow his trumpet from the top of the mountain? Surely they should have told him to “get in line” there and then?

The report goes on to say “It is therefore clear that the leadership of the body has been talking to him and you should accept that the ANC has taken up its responsibility to talk to its young leaders… that (they) must talk in a manner that is responsible.”

If you ask me, I think this talking to Malema has come a bit to late for the ANC as the damage has already been done and there is no way of fixing it.

Zuma is desperately doing his best to woo support for the ANC but we are not fools. That Boy will not be stopped.Zuma keeps lying to the public about virtually everything, even to saying youths will be barred from going to shibbins??? Whose fooling who? Does he think SA’s are fools?

Kill for Zuma on 12 November, 2008 at 9:15 am

Julius Malema has promised not to use the word “Kill’ anymore. I believe he will use “eliminate” “Destroy” “Crush” “Deal with” etc, etc, etc

Anyother word for Kill will be appropriate( Malema advised )

Julius Malema has no respect for anyone. infact he is poisionous to our youth. how the youth league voted for him to be theit president, i still wonder. I would suggest he go back to school and further his studies, and in fact whilst at it,go & learn self respect, as well as respect for the elders.

Julius, boy, go back to school and start from Grade 8. Register for practical english. Well done boy, what a damage!

It’s too late to tell the little boy to shhhh.. damage has been done. Zuma will regret not doing it the 1st day this little boy opened his mouth.

Julius is the true reflection of what the ANC has been trying to hide, they do not have control in the high order. it makes me wonder why no one in the ANC leadership has said anything to this boy, if he was spoken to and did not refrain from his behaviour shouldn’t there be stricter procedures to call him in to order? what is that they are scared of from this boy? ANC we are growing in numbers as the educated youth and COPE is a better bet might not win this election but watch are seats grow in parliament you had better be scared.

Dear Comrades,Thank you for giving us an opportunity as to comment on our collapsing $ valuable Home that was built by our parents & us ,thou I decided to leave because of the entertainment that was given for Malema?Mbalula?Vavi&Dr.Blade Ndzimande to perform the way they felt and not realising of the Veterans of A.N.C. that are still alive waiting for the good work and more of our “ancestor” and respectful, wonderful Father Mr.Rolihlahla Mandela when he decided to leave his family and be torchered by cruel Whites of that “error” for us to be Liberated, and yet Malema was not there? I think we all learn by Mistakes that can not be rectified by now.I,m saying this as a Cope member now looking forward for a better living with all the Respect!!!Let them dance for their Music. I say Abantsundu, nabaMhlophe mabaBulele Kunye baze ba,yofika nakwa”Sotshangana” bavakalise bonke babuyise iAfrika.”A New Agenda for Change and Hope” !!!Amandla!!! Ndiyabulela.

Ndileka,

You seem very confused in your analysis. I don’t blame you though, all COPE members are a confused lot, atleast according to me.

What do you mean that the ANC is collapsing? In which TV channel do you watch your news, which newspapers are u reading? and which radio stations u listen to? If u listened to mainstream media u would know that even political commentators who initially thought COPE was gonna give a serious challenge to the ANC in the elections, have changed their tune.

Indeed, Mandela and others, did sacrifise their lives for our freedom. He may be concerned about what is happening to the ANC. But he is more angry about those who dissented when they lost positions of power within the ANC. Afterall, he did say in his speech read by his daugher at ANC manifesto launch, that he will be burried by the ANC.

As for Malema not being there during the times of Mandela, most if not all of us commenting on this facility were not there. So what’s the importance of Malema’s absence?

Laslty, your COPE can go beyond ‘Soshangane’over to neighbouring countries as many times as they want. The decision as to who will lead SA will be taken by South Africans, in South Africa and for South Africans.

i’m 100% convinced that you, who says ANC is collapsing, are a political virgin. controversies are there for the assurance of corect procedings and stability. i leave you with one thing about the ANC “you can’t keep a good man down” AMANDLAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
